2FA on Digitelia: An extra layer of security for your account

Protecting your data and access to your account is a key priority for Digitelia. For this reason, we are introducing the option to enable two-factor authentication, also known as 2FA.

Security is an immediate priority. That is why we are implementing 2FA for your protection.

Activating it is a simple process that can be completed in just a few steps. Once enabled, access to your account will be verified using your password and a temporary six-digit code from Google Authenticator.

It does not change the way you use Digitelia every day. It simply adds an additional verification step during login, helping to protect your account more effectively.

What is 2FA?

2FA stands for Two-Factor Authentication. It is a login method that requires two separate forms of verification.

In simple terms, two elements are used when you sign in to your account:

  • Your password
  • A temporary six-digit code generated on your mobile phone

This means that your password is no longer the only element required to access your account. Even if someone knows it, they will also need the temporary code from the authentication app.

2FA does not replace a strong and unique password. It works alongside it by adding a second layer of protection.

Why are we adding 2FA to Digitelia?

A property management account contains important information related to the daily operation of your business.

At Digitelia, security is not simply another feature added to the system. It is part of our ongoing commitment to providing a more protected environment for our customers and partners.

Enabling 2FA:

  • Adds an extra verification step during login
  • Reduces the risk of unauthorized access
  • Strengthens the protection of your account
  • Confirms that you are the person signing in

The process is quick and, once the initial connection with Google Authenticator is complete, the app automatically generates the codes you will use.

How to enable 2FA in Digitelia

Step 1: Open your account menu

Sign in to Digitelia and click the user icon in the top-right corner, next to the notifications icon.

The menu containing the available account options will open.

Step 2: Select “Login security”

From the menu, click “Login security”.

On the page that appears, you can view the status of two-factor authentication and begin the activation process.

Step 3: Start the 2FA activation process

Click “Enable two-factor authentication”.

The following will appear on the screen:

  • The QR code used to connect an authentication app
  • The manual setup key
  • The field where you will enter the current six-digit code

To complete the process more easily, the recommended application is Google Authenticator, which is available for Android and iOS.

Step 4: Connect your account to Google Authenticator

If Google Authenticator is not already installed on your phone, download it from Google Play or the App Store.

Then:

  1. Open Google Authenticator on your phone.
  2. Tap the “+” symbol to add a new entry.
  3. Select “Scan a QR code”.
  4. Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on the Digitelia page.
  5. Digitelia will be added to the app and a temporary six-digit code will appear.

If you have opened Digitelia on a computer, scan the QR code directly with your mobile phone.

If you are completing the process on the same mobile device and cannot scan the screen, use the manual entry option in Google Authenticator. Carefully copy the manual setup key displayed in Digitelia.

The result is the same: Google Authenticator will generate the six-digit code required to verify your login.

Step 5: Confirm and enable 2FA

Return to Digitelia and enter the code currently displayed in Google Authenticator in the “Current 6-digit code” field.

Then click the button:

“Confirm and enable 2FA”

The activation process is complete and two-factor authentication is now active for your account.

Google Authenticator codes are renewed automatically. If a code changes before you enter it, simply use the new code displayed in the app.

What changes after activation?

After enabling 2FA, you will use the following when signing in to Digitelia:

  1. Your login details and password
  2. The temporary six-digit code from Google Authenticator

The additional verification takes only a few seconds and provides an important extra layer of security.

Google Authenticator generates the codes within the app, so they can continue to be generated even when your phone is not connected to the internet or a mobile network.

Frequently asked questions

Does 2FA replace my password?

No. Your password continues to be used normally. 2FA adds a second verification code during login.

Do I need an internet connection to view the code?

Google Authenticator can generate verification codes without an internet connection or mobile network access.

What should I do if the code changes before I enter it?

Enter the new six-digit code displayed in Google Authenticator. The codes are renewed automatically for security purposes.

Can I use the manual setup key?

Yes. If you cannot scan the QR code, add the account manually in Google Authenticator using the key displayed on the Digitelia page.

Is enabling 2FA mandatory?

Enabling it is optional, but it is recommended for better protection of your account.

Enable 2FA on your account

The process requires only a few steps, but it adds a meaningful layer of protection to your daily use of Digitelia.

Sign in to your account, select “Login security” and enable 2FA with Google Authenticator.

Security is an immediate priority for Digitelia — and protecting your account starts with one simple activation.
