Important update regarding Booking.com automated messages

New Booking.com security setting for automated messages

We would like to inform you about a new security setting implemented by Booking.com as of 25 May 2026, concerning communication with your guests.

Booking.com is enabling a new allowlist, through which it will control which email addresses and links can be used to send messages to guests.

This change is made for security reasons and aims to protect properties and guests from unauthorized or misleading messages.

What this means for Digitelia automated messages

Digitelia sends automated messages to your guests, such as check-in instructions, arrival information, or other useful updates.

When a reservation comes from Booking.com, these messages are sent to the special email provided by Booking.com and appear within the guest’s chat.

For this process to continue working properly, you will need to check the new allowlist in the Booking.com extranet and ensure that the necessary Digitelia details have been approved.

What you need to do

Starting today, you can:

  1. Log in to the Booking.com Extranet.
  2. Go to the main menu Property.
  3. Select Messaging preferences.
  4. Click on the tab Security settings.
  5. Find the section Allowlist.
  6. Check the addresses and links that have been added automatically.
  7. Add, where needed, the details used by Digitelia for sending automated messages.

Details that must be added

Please make sure that the following email is included in the allowlist:

no-reply@digitelia.io

Also, please make sure to add the following link/domain:

digitelia.io

google.com

If you use additional links within your automated messages to guests, such as Instagram or facebook links etc., add them to the allowlist if you consider it necessary. e.g. (facebook.com, instagram.com etc.)

Booking.com states that it will automatically add certain addresses that have been recently used for communication with guests. However, we recommend that you perform a quick check on your side to ensure that automated messages continue to be sent properly.

No changes are required in the operation of Digitelia. This action αφορά αποκλειστικά τη ρύθμιση μέσα στο extranet της Booking.com.
